The Weather outside :)

I don't know how everyone else feels about the weather we have had today but, I have loved it. The thunder and the down pouring of rain has been great! I love to sit and watch the rain hitting the ground. I know this is weird but I love how gloomy it has been also. For some reason I am tend to be in a good mood on days like these. I am sure if they were constant my mood would change but for now I love being indoors cooking and just hanging out! ;)

For Narnia. . .

On our way to see Narnia, Prince Caspian. I guess our weekend is being spent at the movie theater! It will be interesting to see how close they stay to the book. The first one I thought was pretty close to the book. Off we go!

**Indiana Jones**

We are on our way to see the 4th Indiana Jones. The only bad thing is that it is the 9:00 p.m. show. Hope we don't fall asleep.
Whether the movie is good or not it will be fun to spend time together. It has been a long time since we have gone to a movie together. I am most looking forward to the popcorn but no soda for me I am going on over 2 months of being soda free!

Cole is home and hot!

At least that is what he told us all. He sent us all a text and let us all know how GOOD he was looking! We are just happy to have such a hot looking son at our house :)

And we thought our gas prices were bad

Cole just got back and had to show me how much gas is back east. Woah--crazy!

The "Dude" is one his way home!

We are very excited that Cole is one his way home. I think his plane
took off
about an hour or so ago. He has had so much fun. I can not wait for him to get home and tell us everything he did. Looking forward to seeing the pictures that I am hoping he took. If all else fails I know that my neice took pictures. His biggest challange now is making up all that work at school that he missed. He even had to do workouts while back there just so he wouldn't fail P.E. can you believe that. Of all the classes that is the one we had to worry about. When I talked with him earlier while they were at the airport he told me he was going to miss the Stalder family. THANKS to them for putting up with all the extra company. They are so willing to let people stay with them and cart them around.

Tag - I was it!

I got tagged by Kasey, so here goes. The rules are:
1. Grab the closest book to you (it has to have at least 123 pages)2. Turn to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Tag 5 other people.

So here is it: "He took a deep breath like a man eager to change the subject and checked his gold watch." Very interesting book. I am very grateful that I was raised in a bubble and did not have to live through such troubling times!
Ok so I know I didn't tag anyone else. I never have been the aggressive type :)

Ahh- The Good Ole Days

So I asked Brett the other day what happened to the days when gas prices went up by the pennies not a dime every couple of days. I miss those days!
Look at the price of gas in November 1988 a whopping .95 cents and my tank was full with only $10.00.

September of 2005 when we thought prices were outrages!!

and these are our current prices. Which I am sure we have not seen the last of the increases!! So much for long drives with no where to go. Now all of the running around has to be strategically planned as to not waste our precious tank of gas.

Shoes, Shoes and more Shoes

Madison finally got the tap shoes that she wanted. Wow- these are not cheap shoes. She has been tapping all around the house. She claims that they are louder than her other shoes. I believe we would have to agree!Cole "needed" new shoes to go back east. I was amazed at the size of his foot. I thought he was kidding when he said they were a 6 1/2 and guess what? That is not a size carried in the boys section. We had to make our way across the store to the men's section so he could find shoes to fit his feet. And then I just happened to find a pair of shoes that looked good on my feet. Lucky for me it was BOGO at famous footwear. (really I just knew it was and HAD to find a pair for myself) Happy Mother's Day to me!

Sup Sup Supper Time

Ahh- The joys of left overs. We had a most spectacular meal for Brett's birthday the other night and now lucky us have to finish up the rest. Darn! We had so much food we could be eatin' on this the rest of the week! This does not include the many deserts we still have available to us. Way too many. However I think we are all up for the challenge. Guess we know what we will be eating for lunches for the next few days.Ready to be cooked
On the Grill
Yummy for the tummy!!

Cole's Game

Cole had pretty good games today. It would be nice if the weather would be kind and warm up a bit! I'm tired of sitting wrapped up in blankets. Actually we weren't wrapped up today but we could have used a blanket to keep our toes warmer. Cole got an RBI on this hit but ended up getting out on this play. We are very proud of Cole and love to watch him play. I have a lot of anxiety at the games and sometimes have to get up and pace but as long as he loves the game that is what it is all about!
